WELCOME to the Commemorative Souvenir Journal 49th Quadrennial Session of the General Conference African Methodist Episcopal Church

As a continuation of “going green” since the previous Quadrennial Session, we are excited about the opportunity of providing the Commemorative Souvenir Journal electronically. This project encourages environmental stewardship and will be less cumbersome for conference attendees. In addition, our participants and everyone in attendance will be able to view the contents at their leisure from their own DVD in their own room.

  • What will it look like?

  • Everything that would normally be in a hardcopy journal will appear on the DVD.


  • How will ads appear?

  • Hard Copy Journal – This will be the traditional souvenir journal format, but with a limited number of copies. Persons who submit an ad will have their ad in the hard copy journal as well as the DVD.


    DVD Journal - The ad that appears on the DVD will appear with some animation schemes, slide transitions, and/or modified transition timing. The cost of the ad will determine the extent to which these modifications will be applied.


  • How will the DVD be used and distributed throughout the 2012 General Conference?

  • Technology has taken us to a new level with advertising; therefore, we can advertise throughout the connection, both nationwide and abroad. Websites, Facebook, Twitter, Email, etc., have opened new trends in advertising. We want to corner all markets as a part of our journal.

    The DVD will be included in the kits for delegates and observers. Additionally, this high quality DVD will continuously be displayed on monitors throughout the hotel and convention area. Televisions in the rooms will have a station dedicated to playing the DVD and the DVD will be available for sale during the convention.
